Our Core Commitments
Cross Lanes Bible Church exists to glorify God through joyful worship, compassionate evangelism, biblical discipleship, and devoted service. Located in Cross Lanes, WV, our church family gathers to worship God, proclaim the gospel, grow in grace, and serve one another in love.
We are a Bible-preaching, Christ-centered, and gospel-rooted church that desires to see lives transformed by the power of God’s Word and the work of the Holy Spirit.
Biblical Authority
We believe that the Scriptures are the inspired, inerrant, and sufficient Word of God. We are committed to expository preaching and teaching that rightly divides the Word of truth (2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Timothy 4:1–2).
Gospel Centrality
The gospel of Jesus Christ is not just the entry point of the Christian life—it is the very foundation and motivation for all we do. We proclaim salvation by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone (Romans 1:16; Ephesians 2:8–9).
Meaningful Church Membership
We believe that the local church is God’s design for discipleship and accountability. Members of CLBC commit to walk together in love, truth, and spiritual growth (Hebrews 10:24–25; Acts 2:42–47).
God-Glorifying Worship
We gather weekly to glorify God in reverent, joyful worship. Our services aim to exalt Christ through singing, prayer, Scripture reading, and the preaching of God’s Word (Colossians 3:16–17; John 4:24).
Intentional Discipleship
Jesus calls His church to make disciples of all nations. We are committed to teaching, training, and equipping believers of all ages to grow in grace and maturity (Matthew 28:19–20; 2 Timothy 2:2).
Faithful Evangelism & Missions
We proclaim Christ locally and support gospel efforts globally. From our community in Cross Lanes to the nations, we aim to reach the lost with the saving message of Christ (Acts 1:8; Romans 10:14–17).
