45 years ago Cross Lanes Bible Church birthed a new ministry – Cross Lanes Christian School. Over these many years CLCS has grown in many ways & impacted many students. Today CLCS offers excellent academics, outstanding extra curricular activities & sits on a beautiful 40+ acre campus. This weekend we will celebrate God’s blessing upon this special ministry!
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 27th – CLCS 45th Anniversary Gala at the school Gymnasium. Tickets are still available at the Church & School Offices.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28th – Homecoming Activities on the CLCS Campus.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 29th – 45th Anniversary Worship Service at Cross Lanes Bible Church. Join us at 10:15 as we thank the Lord for His blessings upon CLCS these many years. Come & be blessed by testimonies, special music & an message from the Bible about the need we all have to “Pass the Torch of Faith” to the next generation.
MIDWEEK GATHERING: This Wednesday join us as we begin a brand new Bible Teaching Series at 7:00 PM entitled ” Jesus is always with me: The I AM statements of Christ.” There will also be events for children & tens at 6:45 including Kids Blast AWANA & Teen Zone.
MINISTRIES: Some new small group Bible Studies are about to start at CLBC including WALLBUILDERS, for men, on Saturday, Oct 5th at 8:30 AM & the Ladies Morning Bible Study which begins on Monday, Oct 7th, at 9:30 AM.
PRAYER REQUESTS: Please pray for Ivan & Patsy Gillispie. This past Sunday morning they had a fire which resulted in smoke & fire damage to their house.
Pray for Walt & Linda Robinson & their family. Walt’s mother, Lois Holmes, went home to Heaven this past Saturday. The funeral will be held in Beckley on October 5th.
Pray for the many listed in our Prayer Bulletin including my mother Beth Buckley (Hospice), Rob Walker (cancer), Rich Rice ( knee rehab), Gail Fisher (cancer), Ken Jenkins (cancer), Lance (Layne’s grandson-health issues), Alan Marion (health concerns), Ann Neidlinger (upcoming biopsy) & others with physical, spiritual, emotional, financial & relational needs.
