In light of the stress of the Coronavirus Pandemic, a falling Stock Market & just the everyday pressures of life – WE NEED HOPE! WE NEED JESUS! In Matthew 11:28-30 we read ………
“Come unto me, all you who labor & are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek (gentle) and lowly of heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
In these verses Jesus says to us……
1. FIND PHYSICAL REST IN ME
**”All who Labor” refers to physical weariness. Trust the Lord to give you the strength to get thru this day physically. (Good health & stamina)
2.FIND EMOTIONAL REST IN ME
**”Heavy Laden” means to be “weighed down with cares.” The emotional burdens of these days takes it’s toll on all of us. Look to Christ to bear your emotional baggage & lighten your load. (Encouragement & hope)
3. FIND SPIRITUAL REST IN ME
**”Find Rest For Your Souls” applies to Salvation for the Sinner who believes on Jesus & Sanctification for the Saint who is walking with the Lord. Christ alone gives Spiritual rest. Trust in Jesus during these challenging & confusing days. (Presence & power)
Beloved, let’s not lose hope as we face the challenges of this day. We have hope in Christ! He is more powerful than the Coronavirus or anything else we may face this week. Jesus says to us….COME UNTO ME!!!
