For our encouragement from God’s Word today please read Psalm 3.
In Psalm 3:3 we read “ But you O Lord, are a Shield around me, my Glory & the One who Lifts up my Head.”
King David penned these words as he was fleeing for his life. No doubt his heart was broken because his son, Absalom, had rebelled against him & was seeking to overthrow his father & ascend Israel’s Throne. In those days of great pain & heartache David cried out to God! He looked to Him as His Protector & Provider. The one who was his Shield & Encourager.
In times like these we need the Lord! He is our Shield…….our Glory…….the one who lifts up our Heads. We need not be discouraged or despondent. Like David, flee to Him today!
