For our encouragement from God’s Word today please read John 16.
In John 16:33 Jesus said “These things I have Spoken to you, that in Me you may have Peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
Because we live in a Sin-Cursed world we face many painful things. No one is exempt from trials & tribulation. Even the Coronavirus, that we currently battling, is a result of sin infiltrating the world through Adam & Eve’s rebellion in the Garden. But, there is Hope! His name is Jesus! In John 16 the Lord was teaching His Disciples when He promised them genuine Peace. Not a Peace that the world can take away. Not a Peace based on the circumstances of life. But a Peace & Contentment found in Christ alone. Yes, even in the midst of the deepest valley we can find Peace in the one who has overcome the world – Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace!
