For our encouragement from God’s Word today please read Psalm 56.
In Psalm 59:16 we read “But I will sing of your Power; yes, I will sing aloud of your Mercy in the morning. For you have been my defense & refuge in the day of my trouble.”
During World War 2, French villagers helped hide Jewish Refugees from the Nazi’s. When the German Soldiers finally left their village the French citizens sang songs to let the Refugees know it was safe to come out of hiding. In Psalm 59, the Psalmist David, Rejoiced through song when he was spared from death at the hands of King Saul. He sang of the strength & love of Jehovah – His mighty Fortress!
How has God protected & blessed you during these unprecedented days? How has He sustained & encouraged you? Lift your voice today in songs of praise to the Lord! Don’t worry how you sound. Just praise Him for His mighty strength & His steadfast love.
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning……new every morning…..Great is thy Faithfulness o God.”
